Re: GPS Glitches

Handled offline, the GPS antenna was 5 years old in this case and has been replaced.

Re: SRF Gen3

Sorry for the delay, we were locked out of the forum and couldn't respond.

We cannot connect directly to the Gen3 cars ECU and we are not pursuing that at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Are you recording the video as a .MOV or .AVI?

We now recommend Race Render for all the video creation needs, please contact us at support@traqmate.com and we will get you a copy of the new software.

Sorry for any delay as well, we were locked out of the forum.

Re: Formula Mazda Needing Dual EGT's Exhaust Gas Temperature

To read EGT you will need a voltage amplifier. Traqmate needs a signal in volts and cannot read a signal in millivolts. The PLX EGT sensor will accept a thermocouple and boost it to a linear signal that the Traqmate can record.

Re: Programmable out to start cameras

We are taking this one under advisement. Our general philosophy has been to make things easy rather than let users roll their own but it is a good suggestion and might be in line with the way some new cameras operate. We will post here if we put this into implementation.

Re: Traqmate GoPro Camera Interface Troubleshooting Guide

Your system is working correctly. The video recording starts when the data recording starts - not at the start/finish line. When you open the data and video in TraqStudio, it cues both data and video to the start/finish line automatically.

Re: What is the control logic for the different camera outpu

There is no camera that Traqmate currently controls that works as you described. They are all pulse on, pulse off and the pulses are 3V normally high, pulsed to 0V to activate.

Re: AEM Temperature Gauges

Thank you for that thorough writeup. Yes our sensor analysis uses linear interpolation and most thermistor-based sensors such as the AEM are non-linear. The correct way to use them is over the smallest range possible so the curve deviates the least from a straight line. Unfortuntely that is hard to ...

Re: How to connect RPM Sensor to 1985 Porsche 911?

My best guess would be to set TraqData device for 'C' = coil and connect to negative side of coil. If you have a capacitive discharge ignition system this may not work but it will not damage anything.

Connecting to the tach signal wire is also a good bet with the 'C' setting.

Re: Digital Input question

You should be able to connect that to the D5 digital input which wants an active high signal. You can even assign that to an LED light as an alarm if you want to know when the ABS activates.

Re: Traqdash tach

We are not sure. Here are the steps to try it. Set the Traqmate Input device (TraqData, TraqSync, or TraqTach) to COIL. See the TraqData Application Guide for instructions. Set the number of cylinders to 6. Try connecting the RPM to the various wires on the Bosch unit. You want the exciter signal th...

What camera and video type is this from?

For example, Sony HDR-CX110 with .MTS video
or GoPro HERO1 with .MOV video

Re: Tachometer signal on a Mazda 12a or 13b rotary motor?

If an aftermarket tach is working, the Traqmate should work also. I am assuming that the RPM shows on the dash, just incorrectly. Is that correct? Is it steady when the engine is idling or at a fixed RPM? If the RPM is reading steady, set the number of cylinders to 1 (ECU) and hold the engine at 100...
